Biofeedback & Neurofeedback Therapies
Biofeedback treatment teaches self-regulation skills to assist
individuals to enhance their health and well being. Biofeedback is part
of a process leading to enhanced self control, better management of physical
and mental processes, self regulation, and improved functioning. The
therapy is often used in conjunction with other forms of therapy and medical
treatment. Improved relaxation skills are a common outcome.
The biofeedback therapist acts as a training coach to set goals, to encourage,
to determine length of workouts, and to monitor and report progress.
Sessions are from 30-60 minutes in duration; some insurance companies will pay
for some or all of the biofeedback treatment. You can call your
insurance company to find out about coverage.
