GENERAL
PRACTICE
Robert LoPresti, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist, marriage and
family therapist, and a neuropsychologist with 20 years of
experience including work with individuals, families, couples,
teens, children and groups. He is certified in Imago Relationship
Therapy, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) and several of the new energy and meridian
psychotherapies. Major training has been in cognitive behavioral
psychology. He graduated from Brown University and West Virginia
Universities with postdoctoral training at the University of
California at Los Angeles. Experience includes working with and
improving relationship problems, attention deficit disorders (ADD
& ADHD), sports and work performance problems, insomnia,
anxiety, depression, panic, obsessive compulsive difficulties,
trichotillomania and other issues. He is the co-founder of the first
New Jersey support group for adults and couples with attention
deficit disorder, now in its 13th year. In addition to a
private practice in Fair Haven and Brick, NJ on the Jersey Shore, he
is an attending psychologist at Monmouth Medical Center and
frequently lectures or leads workshops at Brookdale and Ocean County
Colleges. He is a former University of Nebraska at Omaha assistant
professor of psychology. Training has been in many different
modalities including behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy,
EMDR therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Thought Field therapy,
Emotional Freedom Techniques, Harm Reduction and others. Together
with wife Loukia and daughter Hope he lives in Fair Haven, NJ.
